It's not the yellow from the egg, but it IS a nice expansion to the universe I love so much. We get to see the start of it all, how things developed and have become the way they "are now". There is a lot of singing, but it is the story after all and I think they stayed true to the universe and expanded it really well, showing the narcissism this all stemmed from, so really, even though it isn't the greatest of all movies, it is a loved child of the franchise.
